How to Create and Submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR) for Construction Sites?

A Daily Progress Report (DPR) is a document submitted by the site engineer or contractor to the project owner or consultant every working day. It records what work was completed, how many workers were present, materials used, equipment deployed, weather conditions, and issues encountered.

Why DPRs matter:

  • They create a documented timeline of project progress
  • They form the basis for billing milestone claims
  • They protect contractors in case of dispute
  • They are often required by clients, consultants, and funding institutions
  • Creating DPR with Biddaro Site Manager:

    1. Open your Site Manager project

    2. Go to the DPR (Daily Progress Reports) section

    3. Select the date for the report

    4. Enter work completed, worker count, materials used, and any issues

    5. Attach photos from the site

    6. Submit — the DPR is saved with timestamp and accessible to the project team

    Best practices for DPR:

  • Submit the same day — never backfill multiple days at once
  • Attach at least 3–5 site photos per report
  • Record the name of the engineer who submitted the report
  • Note any deviations from the approved plan or schedule
